Minaean Habitat (India) Pvt. Ltd. Initiates Business In The State Of Punjab With Contract For Construction Of Bus Queue Shelters

November 24, 2008

Vancouver, BC, Canada – Minaean International Corp. (TSX Venture Exchange: MIB; Berlin and Frankfurt Stock Exchanges: NJA) is pleased to announce that its wholly owned subsidiary, Minaean Habitat (India) Pvt. Ltd. (MHI), has been awarded a contract for the fabrication and installation of 100 units of its ultra modern steel Bus Queue Shelters in Punjab, India, by Laqshya Media Private Limited, the largest Indian outdoor advertising company. This contract has an estimated value of CAD$ 1.5 Million and is anticipated to be delivered upon within 3 months.

The contract was secured following the successful execution of orders for the production, supply and installation of 275 Bus Queue Shelters in the busy metropolitans of Mumbai & Bangalore. The contract for the Bus Queue Shelters will be executed in modular sections, pre-fabricated in Minaean’s Mumbai plant, shipped to site and installed. The Company is planning to implement dedicated execution teams to be based in Ludhiana and Jallandar (both in the state of Punjab) to provide the best installation processes.

The Indian outdoor advertising industry is estimated to be valued at about CAD$ 500 Million though a large part of it remains unorganized and localized. The industry is growing at 20% per annum and is expected to account for 12% of the country’s total advertising expenditures by 2010. Growth within this sector is primarily being fuelled by advertisers increasingly looking at diversifying expenditure from conventional print and TV media to a relatively less expensive and far reaching means of communication.

Laqshya Media Private Limited is the largest independent Out-of-Home (OOH) media agency in India with 30 offices across 20 cities in the country. The firm’s primary business includes OOH media advertising through various channels. Laqshya is a multi-billion dollar corporation and also has a significant presence in Dubai and the Middle East -- where a large percentage of the company’s revenues are earned.

The securing of this contract essentially represents MHI’s growing business relationship with two of the largest media agencies within India, The Times Group and Laqshya Media Pvt. Ltd.
