Minaean Habitat (India) Pvt. Ltd. Completes Construction of Prototype Bus Queue Shelter, Hyderabad, India

Vancouver, BC, Canada –August 13, 2008 – Minaean International Corp. (TSX Venture Exchange: MIB; Berlin and Frankfurt Stock Exchanges: NJA) is pleased to announce that its wholly owned subsidiary, Minaean Habitat (India) Pvt. Ltd. (MHI), has successfully executed a contract to fabricate and install an ultra modern stainless steel based prototype Bus Queue Shelter in Hyderabad, India, for a leading South Indian outdoor advertising agency. The contract for the execution of the prototype was received on June 7th, 2008 and construction began July 15th, 2008. Upon completion, the prototype was certified and approved by the client and it is anticipated that MHI will be signing a larger contract with this client in the near future.

MHI has made a name for itself in this industry by successfully executing a first contract for 100 Bus Queue Shelters with the Mumbai Transport Authority through the Times Media Group in the city of Mumbai. The success of this first contract has resulted in the awarding of a second contract for an additional 100 Bus Queue Shelters for the city of Mumbai as well as a third contract for 100 Bus Queue Shelters for the southern Indian municipality of Bangalore. MHI has recently begun its execution of the second contract for Mumbai with 35 of the 100 Bus Queue Shelters already finished and installed, while work on the Bangalore contract for 100 Bus Queue Shelters will commence in September 2008.

According to Hyderabad Transit Services, there are about 600 Bus Queue Shelters scheduled for construction in the coming months in the city. The successful manufacture and installation of the prototype bus queue shelter will be instrumental in developing a niche business relationship with the outdoor advertising agency and is expected to lead to additional orders in 2008-09. “We have aggressive plans to cater to outdoor advertising agencies with our modular bus queue shelters and other indigenously designed products in the coming year and the Hyderabad bus queue project is just one example of the rollout of this strategy”, commented Mr. Sudhir Garg, the Managing Director of MHI.

Hyderabad, the capital of Andhra Pradesh, with a population of approximately 6.1 million, is India's 7th largest city and the world’s 41st largest metropolitan area. Facilities such as commuter amenity centres, bus depots, inter-modal transit centres and bus shelters are being built throughout the city to cope with the massive demand for public transportation. The new MHI bus queue shelters will also add functionality and beauty to a city that is steadily growing in the realms of tourism and industrial development.

The contract for bus queue shelters will be executed in modular sections, pre-fabricated in Minaean’s Mumbai plant, shipped to site and installed. MHI has production plants located in the cities of Bangalore and Mumbai, India, for manufacturing of Modular Buildings, Modular Cabins, ATM Units and Bus Queue Shelters.
