Minaean Habitat (India) Pvt. Ltd. Awarded With Contract For Construction Of Bus Queue Shelters, Mumbai, India

Vancouver, BC, Canada –July 16, 2008 – Minaean International Corp. (TSX Venture Exchange: MIB; Berlin and Frankfurt Stock Exchanges: NJA) is pleased to announce that its wholly owned subsidiary, Minaean Habitat (India) Pvt. Ltd. (MHI), has been awarded a contract for the fabrication and installation of 100 units of its ultra modern steel Bus Queue Shelters in Mumbai, India, by a well-known advertising and media company for the Mumbai Transit Authority. This contract has an estimated value of US$ 300,000 and is anticipated to be delivered upon within 30 days.

The contract was secured following the successful execution of an order for the production, supply and installation of 100 Bus Queue Shelters carried out in the elite areas of South Mumbai City within a short period of 75 days. The contract for the Bus Queue Shelters will be executed in modular sections, pre-fabricated in Minaean’s Mumbai plant, shipped to site and installed. MHI has production plants located in the cities of Mumbai and Bangalore, India, for the manufacturing of Modular Buildings, Modular Cabins and ATM Units. MHI is working on expanding its Mumbai based factory for production of modular sections for Bus Queue Shelters along with ancillary and other structures.

Mumbai is known as the financial and commercial capital of India, generating about 5% of the nation’s GDP and contributing over one third of its tax revenues. With an estimated population of 13.66 million, it is the second most populous city in the world behind Shanghai. Along with the neighbouring suburbs of Navi Mumbai and Thane, it forms, at nineteen million, the world's fifth most populous metropolitan area. Mumbai generates more than 10 million daily passenger commutes on the suburban railway system and on public transport bus services provided by the Bombay Electric Supply & Transport Undertaking (BEST). The ever growing vehicular and passenger demands, coupled with constraints on capacity augmentation of the existing network, have resulted in chaotic conditions during peak hours. With a view to changing the present situation, the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority in consultation with BEST finalized the specifications for state of the art bus shelters and invited bids for the erection and maintenance of Bus Queue Shelters.

There are about 1800 bus queue shelters scheduled for construction in Mumbai of which MHI has to date been awarded orders for 150 units. MHI expects increased revenue during this fiscal year from this segment of the market and plans an aggressive resource deployment strategy towards the support of clients’ expansion needs.
