Minaean Awarded Purchase Order For The Construction And Installation Of Bus Queue Shelters In Bangalore, India

Vancouver, BC, Canada – January 12, 2010 – Minaean International Corp. (TSX Venture Exchange: MIB; Berlin and Frankfurt Stock Exchanges: NJA) is pleased to announce that its wholly owned subsidiary, Minaean Habitat (India) Pvt. Ltd. (MHI), has been awarded a purchase order for the prefabrication and installation of 75 units of its ultra modern steel Bus Queue Shelters in Bangalore, the capital city of the state of Karnataka, India.

To date, MHI has produced and installed over 400 Bus Queue Shelters in a number of cities throughout India including Mumbai, Bangalore and Hyderabad. These shelters are MHI’s primary product offering within the Street Furniture business vertical. MHI has been in recent discussions with the major players in the Indian outdoor advertising industry and this purchase order is a strong initial indication towards resumption of aggressive growth in the sector during the New Year.

The Indian outdoor advertising industry was estimated to be valued at about CAD$ 593 Million in 2009 which only accounted for the organized advertising firms – a large part of the industry remains localized and highly unorganized. Outdoor advertising is expected to account for 12% of the country’s total advertising expenditure in 2010. The rapid growth in this industry is being fuelled by advertisers looking to take advantage of outdoor advertising’s economical yet far reaching mass means of communication.

This purchase order for the Bus Queue Shelters will be executed in two phases - prefabricated in Minaean’s Mumbai plant and then shipped to and installed at site thereafter. As part of the Company standards, a dedicated execution team will be deployed on site to ensure quality control and timely delivery of the order.
